Simultaneously, Joseph, in his role as Executive Director, will spearhead the day-to-day operations of the R Consortium. Joseph brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having been an integral part of the R Community team at Microsoft, contributing to the foundation of the R Consortium. He served as Microsoft’s appointed member on the R Consortium’s Infrastructure Steering Committee and played a pivotal role in administering the R Consortium’s R User Group programs. Following his tenure at Microsoft, Joseph joined RStudio (now Posit), where he served as RStudio’s appointed director to the Board of Directors, holding the position of chair for three years. Joseph’s firm belief in the R language and its expansive ecosystem, constituting the world’s largest open repository of statistical knowledge and reproducible scientific computing, aligns seamlessly with ProCogia’s vision.
