Our technology partners

The R Consortium

We are thrilled that ProCogia is an active member of the R Consortium, a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization. Our very own Mehar Pratap Singh serves as the Chair of this esteemed group, and Lou Bajuk, our VP of Services and Innovation, is a former Chair. The R Consortium is a collaboration between the R community and major industry players including Posit RStudio, Microsoft, TIBCO, Biogen, Genetech, Google, Oracle, Linux, HP, and ProCogia. Its mission is to fund and inspire ideas that will enhance R as a platform for science, research, and industry. By providing a convenient funding vehicle for commercial beneficiaries of R, the R Consortium complements the R Foundation and offers the resources needed for ambitious new projects to improve R.

The community of R users and developers has a significant stake in the language and its long-term success. We all want free and open-source R to continue thriving and growing for the next 20 years and beyond. The fact that so many of the technology industry’s largest companies are willing to stand behind R as part of the consortium is remarkable and bodes incredibly well for the future of R.
